Before a HydraFacial: Pre and Post-Treatment Instructions
Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Avoid sun exposure 1 week before treatment.
- Use sunscreen SPF 30 or greater daily to cover against UV rays.
- Do not exfoliate your skin 2 days before treatment.
- Do not get any chemical peels or lasers 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
- Discontinue using any Tretinoin products at least 2 days before treatment.
- Discontinue using Hydroquinone 2-3 days before treatment.
- Wait for 2 weeks after any Botox or filler treatments.
Tell your doctor if you develop a cold sore, acne, open lesions on the treated area, or experience any illness before treatment.
Post Treatment Instructions
- Avoid exfoliation of skin 48 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid heat sources or other workouts (hot showers, saunas, and cardio workouts) that produce sweat for 24 hours.
- You can wash your face a day after treatment with products recommended by your doctor.
- Follow the regular regimen post-treatment as recommended by your doctor.
- Avoid unprotected sun exposure 3 days post-treatment.
- Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher for 3-5 days post-treatment.
- Makeup can be applied the day after treatment.
Precautions for HydraFacial
